The Tantrum XT features our most popular paddle shape. The slightly longer face and curved sides increase its response and improve its performance. The Tantrum XT paddle is made with our power core for the player who either has an affinity for the hard game or has the skill to slow the ball down themselves. Its core is made of honeycomb polymer with graphics printed on a fiberglass face for the maximum texture allowed for USA Pickleball approval. It has a 5" handle length, and comes standard with a 4.25" circumference that is octagonally-shaped. Features TMPR vibration dampening technology.
I’m still new to the sport, and the Tantrum XT was the first paddle upgrade from a crappy beginner set. And what a difference to my game! I could immediately feel a considerable increase in both power and control. And the semi-elongated shape, while it doesn’t look like it changes much, feels like a world of difference. Feels like a much better sweet spot for me. I look forward to the opportunity to try out other TMPR models as my game evolves.
I have used the Onix Evoke paddle for three years and was looking for a less expensive paddle with all of the same feel. The Tantrum XT gives me equal feel and more power. For anyone looking for a great feel and balance the XT is going to make you smile.
I was looking to add a bit of power and still maintain control for 3rd shot drops and dinking marathons. This paddle gets the job done. With no previous use, I pulled the paddle out of the box and played in a 35 person round robin and Boerne City Park. I pulled out a second place at my advanced age of 75. Thanks TMPR - keep up the good work. I love that it is made in America!
I received the paddle quickly from TMPR without any problems. It was well packaged and arrived without any damages. My initial impression of the paddle it is a very well made paddle and feels nice and comfortable in my hand. The weight is just right at about 8.0 oz. which is my preferred weight for all of my paddles. The paddle seems to have a little more "POP" than my TMPR OCULUS XT paddle and a little more reach since it is slightly longer than the OCULUS XT. If you want a paddle with a little longer reach and more POWER then choose the TANTRUM XT rather than the OCULUS XT paddle. I am very happy having both paddles.
